On Thursday evening September 1, Joe Biden, who chooses to identify as a uniter stooped to an all-time Presidential low in front of Independence Hall where nearly 250 years ago our Founding father declared our independence from Great Britain. Biden the Uniter railed against former President Trump and somewhere near half of the American voters. In Biden’s own words he said, “Donald Trump and the MAGA (Make America Great Again) Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic. There is no question that the Republican Party is dominated, driven and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans and that is a threat to our country.”
In response to Biden’s rant, Donald Trump tweeted, “Someone should explain to Joe Biden, slowly but passionately, that MAGA means, as powerful as mere words can get, MAKE AMERICA GREAT
AGAIN! If he doesn’t want to make America great again, which through words, actions and thought, he Doesn’t, then he certainly should not be representing the United States of America”.
Texas GOP Chairman Matt Rinaldi responded by saying, “America doesn’t want a President who sounds like a mental patient railing against real and imagined enemies, They want one who will fix inflation, crime and the border”.
Don Huffines, Texas businessman and past primary candidate for Governor said, “MAGA is more than Trump. It is the enlightenment of the value of courage, the possibilities of prosperity, virtue and freedom. It is the awakening of sleeping patriots to what has been lost to communism. MAGA exposed corruption of the Ivy League elites, the leftist media, duplicitous RINO’s, warmongers and the deep state. We cannot unsee what has been seen; MAGA has changed the world. Our words of liberty are unsheathed. Our greatest days are coming”.
In an August 2022 Quinnipiac University poll, nearly 70% of Democrats, Republicans and Independents agreed that American Democracy is in danger however the poll did not mean that they agree on the reason for the danger. Prior polling shows that Republicans are far more likely to cite the results of the
2020 election as the cause for danger. At the same time Republicans complain that Democrats are more than willing to disregard the Constitutional process if that’s what it takes to get their way. A recent example is Biden’s half Billion Dollar student loan forgiveness overreach. Contrary to our Constitution and our Constitutional Republic form of government, most Democrats believe our country should be a one person, one vote government giving the President full authority to implement the progressive agenda, with or without Congress or the Constitution. Democrats also believe this should only apply when a Democrat holds the title of President. This policy has been seen in Venezuela, Nicaragua and
Russia along with many more countries where strongman Presidents rule without congress or law. Our form of government was intended to have three branches with the Legislature being the first. Tax and spending laws must begin there yet Biden wishes to make law with a stroke of his pen.
Biden and his supporters scream that MAGA supporters are willing to use political violence yet not a word came from Biden or the Democrats as liberals harassed SCOTUS members and their families at their homes and neighborhoods. Democrats delight in armed raids of Trumps home but take a blind eye to unsecured cell phones and the bleaching of the phones by Hillary Clinton not to mention the selling of the White House to foreign governments by the current Presidents son.
Henry Louis Mencken, B 1880 D 1956, journalist, satirist, cultural critic and scholar of American English once said, “As democracy is perfected, the office of the president represents more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their hearts desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron”. I believe we have arrived! That very moron dares attack the notion of returning America to her greatness. God help us.
